Sanitary - industrial laboratory

General data on sanitary - industrial laboratory:

The certificate on accreditation № РОСС RU.0001.512321.
Validity of the certificate up to 24.06.2008.
SIL was constituted in 1971.

The laboratory exercises control over:

- The content of harmful substances (dust, gases, vapours) in the air of the working zone;
- Working efficiency of powder-gas trapping units, as well as over the observation of the established norms of maximum permissible emission to the atmosphere;
- Condition of air pool in the territory of the company and in the sanitary - protective zone (stationary site), including the control under adverse meteorological conditions (AМC);
- Distribution of emissions around the company (under plume sampling);
- Conformity of the work of local industrial drain purging units to the norms of technical regulations;
- Quality of chemically polluted industrial and storm sewages of the company manufactures;
- Quality of sewage after biological treatment before dump to reservoir;
- Quality of water of the river Volga reservoir above and lower the place of release of the purified sewage of the company;
- Quality of washing waters (control section-line) of the treatment works shop and external communications;
- Quality of recycle water of water-recycle systems;
- Quality of sewage treatment at the receipt of infringed pollution in the treatment works;
- The air environment under the applications of shops, services while performing flame and gas dangerous works (welding, repair of the equipment etc.);
- Parameters of physical factors in industrial premises (noise, light exposure, microclimate, vibration);

Industrial environment for carrying out certification of workplaces on working conditions.

Besides sanitary - industrial laboratory in the structural divisions of the company there function industrial laboratories which conduct daily monitoring of the environment.

The basic directions of the carried out monitoring are:

1. Analysis of the air environment in view of functioning of the process equipment. Recently the condition of the air environment is analyzed on 59 parameters. About 1300 analyses are carried out annually.

2. Cleanliness of air in industrial premises results from cleanliness of air supplied to the premises by forced ventilation, therefore the laboratory will carry out the continuous control of air on industrial platforms and external installations, between the shops of the company. On industrial platforms air is analyzed for the content of basic industrial pollution by 18 parameters in 40 controllable points.

3. The control of atmospheric air in adjoining residential area will be carried out at a stationary centre. Sampling of air is made daily 3 times a day. In one year period 3000 analyses are made on the content of acetone, phenol, benzene, paraffin and unsaturated hydrocarbons.

4. The laboratory will carry out researches of zone distribution of the atmospheric air pollution in the vicinity of the company, analyzing maximum - single concentrations in emissions from plumes and the basic sources of pollution. The analysis of atmospheric air will in addition be carried out at adverse meteorological conditions.

5. Cleanliness of air pool in many respects depends on the efficiency with which powder-gas trapping installations work in technological emissions. Annually about 600 analyses are made.

6. Monthly control is performed over 12 local installations on clearing chemically polluted drains.. Quality surveillance of chemically polluted drains coming to biological clearing is carried out by sanitary - industrial laboratory and the laboratory of the company constructions clearing.

Since 1971 the laboratory has been regularly monitoring the condition of water in the river Volga reservoir at the company' s sewage release area . The laboratory controls water samples from three control points:

- in the area of release of the company's sewage.
- 500 m up-stream the release of sewage.
- 500 m down-stream the release.
