Kazanorgsintez PJSC to elaborate biopolymer plant project with Maire Tecnimont Group

Kazanorgsintez PJSC and NextChem together with MET Development, and Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. subsidiaries signed a Memorandum of Understanding to co-develop a new biodegradable polymer plant project in the Republic of Tatarstan. Use of NextChem know-how and MET Development capabilities are expected during the project.

As agreed, Kazanorgsintez PJSC and Maire Tecnimont Group will jointly assess and analyze the opportunity to construct a biopolymer production plant in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. Maire Tecnimont Group will submit process engineering solutions and best know-how for the project development and implementation based on its project portfolio. NextChem is ready to provide its know-how and render every assistance in the course of FEED and EPC activities related to the production, facilities.

Thus, Kazanorgsintez PJSC keeps on developing biodegradable polymer plant projects in the Republic of Tatarstan. It will be remembered that in 2018 these activities started off by studying several commercially available technologies. In expectation of the decision on 2BIO JSC to be made by Italian authorities, TAIF proceeded with parallel activities on studying other biopolymer production processes.
